After becoming a customer, you will be able to access and use your virtual card immediately. In the meantime, your physical card will be shipped to the mailing address on your account and should arrive within 10 days. If you do not receive your physical card within 10 days, please contact Imprint Customer Support at (888) 427-0544, or (571) 427-0544 if traveling internationally.
Before you can use your physical card, you'll need to activate it. Once activated, you can use it anywhere your card network is accepted.
Please note that some transaction types, including those listed below, are not allowed:
- Sending money (Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, wires, etc.)
- Buying money (Crypto, stocks, etc.)
How do I activate my physical card?
You can activate your physical card in several ways:
Through the Imprint app or online:
- Log in to the Imprint app or online at account.imprint.co
- Click the image of your card
- Select "Activate physical card"
- Follow the prompts to complete activation
Self service via text message
Text the last 4 digits of your physical card number to the phone number on the card sticker. You must have already set up your account in order to do this.
Self service via phone
Call the phone number on the card sticker. You must have already set up your account in order to do this.
By contacting Imprint Customer Support
Call Imprint Customer Support and ask an agent to activate your card for you.
How do I use my physical card?
Once activated, you can use your physical card for purchases:
- In-store: Insert the chip, tap for contactless payments, or swipe
- Online: Enter your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address
- Digital wallet: Add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay for easy mobile payments
Your physical card works just like your virtual card—both are linked to the same account, and purchases from either card will appear together on your statements.
Your physical card will remain inactive until you activate it, so make sure to complete activation as soon as you receive it in the mail.
How do I see the shipping status of my physical card?
If you have ordered a physical card, you can track the shipping progress. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a tracking number.

- A shipping tracker should appear on the home page
Can I use my card for recurring or subscription payments?
Yes, you can use your card for recurring payments and subscriptions such as streaming services, gym memberships, utilities, and other automatic bill payments.
To set up recurring payments, simply provide your card information to the merchant when enrolling in their automatic payment or subscription service. Your card will be charged automatically according to the schedule you set up with that merchant.
If you need to stop a recurring payment:
- Try contacting the merchant directly to cancel the subscription or recurring charge.
- If you're unable to reach the merchant or they continue charging your card, please contact Imprint Customer Support. We can help you cancel and reissue your card to stop the charges.
Are pre-authorization holds allowed (gas, hotels, travel)?
Yes, pre-authorization holds are allowed and commonly used by merchants like gas stations, hotels, and travel providers. These temporary holds may appear as duplicate or higher-than-expected pending charges. For example, gas stations may hold funds for up to 10 days, while hotels and travel merchants may hold them for up to 30 days. Once the merchant finalizes the charge, any unused amount will automatically be released back to your available credit.
Can I withdraw cash from an ATM?
No, cash withdrawals which include ATM transactions and cash advances, are not supported with this card.
