Why is my virtual card number different from my physical card number?
Your virtual card has a different card number for security purposes, but it is linked to the same account as your physical card. Both cards share the same credit line, rewards earning, payment due dates, and billing activity. Any purchases made with either the virtual or physical card will appear on the same statement and earn rewards in the same way. You can re-issue your virtual card instantly at any time as needed without affecting your physical card, or use your virtual card while waiting for a physical card to arrive, allowing you greater flexibility.
Using a separate virtual card number helps protect your account when shopping online or through digital wallets, while keeping all activity consolidated under one account.
Only the primary user on an account has access to a virtual card.
